Mykola Tomenko: Spring presidential elections is a more acceptable variant for the overcoming of the political crisis then impeachment.
"The leaders of Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc and "Batkivshyna" Party have not submitted any documents necessary for the impeachment process and have not given any orders regarding the issue" the Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Vice-Chairman of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc declared on the briefing in the Parliament.
The development of the situation in the following way was discussed by the Party of Regions and Communist Party of Ukraine. The issue on the impeachment was not discussed by the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc.
Expressing his personal point of view, Mykola Tomenko declared that the better solution for Ukraine in such a situation was not impeachment but pre-termed presidential elections so that the image of the country would not be spoilt.
In such a case, "the President preserves his name and the country will not appear in the list of the countries that can only make their status worse". Mykola Tomenko has stressed that it was his personal position.
